| How 'Bout a Free Movie? ...from Michael Moore |

Friends,
As you may have heard, I've decided to make my new film, "Slacker Uprising," available for free to everyone in the United States and Canada. It is the first time ever that a major feature-length film is debuting as a free download on the internet -- legally. I am doing this for two reasons:
1. Next year it will be 20 years since my first film, "Roger & Me," so I'd like to give those of you who've supported my work over the years a thank you gift in the form of a brand new movie; and
2. I hope the release and wide distribution of this new movie will help to bring out millions of young and new voters on November 4th.
"Slacker Uprising" takes place in the wake of "Fahrenheit 9/11," during the run-up to the 2004 election, as I traveled for 42 days across America, visiting 62 cities in a failed attempt to remove George W. Bush from office. My goal was to help turn out a record number of young voters and others who had never voted before. (That part was a success. Young adults voted in greater numbers than in any election since 18-year-olds were given the right to vote. And the youth vote was the only age group that John Kerry won.)
What I encountered during the tour and the filming was both inspiring and frightening, so I thought, hey, this might make for a funny and enlightening movie! Each night, thousands would show up to volunteer in the Slacker Army against Bush. This drove local Republicans nuts. In one state they tried to have me arrested. At two colleges, rich donors offered to donate more money to the college if they would ban me from campus. Nearly a half-dozen universities kept the Slacker Uprising tour off their campuses. But there was no stopping this movement. By the time we got to Florida, 16,000 people a night were showing up.
It was clear that young people were the ones who were going to save the day -- just as they are in this year's election.
On Tuesday, September 23rd, you will be able to stream, download, or burn a DVD of "Slacker Uprising," free of charge. The distribution is being organized by Robert Greenwald's Brave New Films (they're the great people behind "OUTFOXED: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism" and "WAL-MART: The High Cost of Low Price").

You have my blanket permission to share the movie with your friends, to set up screenings in your communities or theaters, to show it on your campuses -- all at no charge. I encourage you to rally voters with it, to raise funds for your favorite candidates, to air it on your local cable access channels or web broadcasts. sometimes i get so low and down on myself that I wish i weren't feeling at all.
I wish i didn't have to live life.
I keep on truckin all the same, but I just wish i didn't have to.
but it goes away after awhile.
Miranda's new boyfriend had easter dinner with her and her family. I would have never been invited over if her dad was going to be there.
I am hurting, sad and in tears. she didn't quite understand why i got so upset. i was pissed earlier. i was childish too. i apologized, but I can't help that stuff like that hurts me so much. i just don't need a reminder that I would have NEVER been accepted. We dated for almost a year and I wasn't allowed over at her house even if her father was asleep and wouldn't know i was there. They've dated for a month and he's invited to a family holiday dinner.
Sometimes i get so low that I wish i weren't feeling at all.

i got home a little bit ago and took the dog out and ate and read e-mails and ljs. when i got to sheka's it made me realize that I have completely forgotten about trying to hurry after work to go to tea tuesdays. oh well. it's already 9 and I still haven't showered. sorry guys. next time! oh i take that back. i'm going to a play next time. ok the time after that!

I hate that radio commercial for McDonalds. That one wiht the woman singing about the voice inside her head and how she can't NOT go to mcdonalds cuz she always listens to the voice, "how can [she] resist?"
RESIST! The voices inside your head are not always sane! Sometimes they are fucking crazy! I mean sure listen to it when it's telling you to do something smart or good like exercise or maybe a community service things like voting for kerry, but just be discriminating!
Here is an example: sometimes i'm in a room with someone and they are talking and the voice inside my head tells me, "GOD I HATE THIS PERSON! If only I were wearing high heels right now so that I could take one off and stab them with it!"
See what I mean, Me in high heels, fucking Crazy!
Besides, if your voice is telling you to eat at mc donalds there is something wrong. I don't know. maybe you have deep seeded issues with real food. if that's the case, well you need to just sit down with a nice healthy meal and dish it out, so to speak.
So Passport was fun last night, and I got to see a bunch of people I haven't seen for awhile. makes me miss school. the "real world" fucking sucks. someone needs to hire me for a real full time job! damnit! one with benefits. I need to check out stuff on the internet while i wait for birds. bye

It's my 5 month with Miranda. I'm in bliss. isn't that nice for a change? usually at 5 months I'm just lying to myself that we are happy, but truly it's obvious that something bad is on the horizon. (well only a few of my relationships have made it past the six month marks - 2, the rest didn't make it this far, or this day marked the ocasion of our break up - sam. yeah she broke up with me on our five month. crapy huh.)
but yeah, i think miranda and I have made it past some big hurdles and now we're in a good place. who knows how long until the next set of hurdles, but i'm enjoying this while it lasts and she is too.
Anybody have any ideas on what I can do with M tonight for our special day? Neither one of us has any money. SO cheap and fun and romantic - any ideas? keep in mind i have no car until my dad comes and fixes it, at which time i'll probably have to go to work. so very litte time, money and apparently creativity as well.

I am done housesitting at one place now it's on to another. I finished one this morning and start another one tonight. will i ever sleep in my own bed? NO, cuz i'm sure when i'm done i'll spend the night at miranda's.
I need to make cards. I need to get that stuff from Lee. I need to get T (not testosterone). I need to get keys, thank you, and cards to holly. I need clothes.
I wonder what time M is working.
So the San Fran gay marriages have been Voided. sucky.
I hung out with Lee last night. and saw daniel too. it was nice.

i have a paper clip in my eyebrow right now. Apparently my eyebrow jewelry came out while i was sleeping and I didn't realize until i was in my car half way to work. so when i got here i put a paper clip in my piercing to ensure it doesn't close.
Today my girlie and I both have the afternoon off. so we are going to hang out and do whatever we want to do. feels good to finally have somewhat similar schedules. I think they will be converging even more so soon. which will be nice.
I am pretty sure I didn't get that Behavioral Health Tech job that I interviewed for on Monday. Sucky! it was a weird interview. I think she had decided before i got there that I wasn't the one. she didn't ask me any questions about my experience, like at all! did not ask about my education whatsoever. she basically told me about the position and asked if i had questions, which i did. she answered them and that was it.
I need to wash my lab coat today. next tuesday is my last day. i think it's tuesday. yippee. no more birds and rats. thank god. although this was a simple enough job for the summer. I don't know what i would have done without it!
I have tomorrow and friday off. well off from this job. tomorrow i have to go into america coming together for training at 10. i don't know how long this will last and i don't know when I will officially start canvassing. I'm gonna check idealist and craigslist again now. bye

i just found my soc securtity card!
I've been looking for it for a week. I thought I had already checked everywhere. I had, actually. I just didn't check the spot where it was well enough.
I need it for thursday and I need it for next time i go to phx theatre.
I can go out now, but i'm exhausted. I don't want to go out. I already showered. and i have to be up at 6. I hate going to mary's when i'm housesitting cuz i have to shower before I go to bed cuz i smell like smoke and I am usually exhausted and just want to crash and just shower in the morning to wake myself up.
I should go though cuz all my friends are gonna be there. but i just don't feel like going to mary's i feel bad. sorry angie. i really want to see you. i'm an ass.
i finally got a new printer today. it's a printer scanner copier all in one. nice i'm trying to scan my pics right now. wish me luck i need to hussle and get over to the house.
